Because Everybody Is Entitled To My Opinion

"O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, . . . in wrath remember mercy" (Habakkuk 3:2).
"Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?" (Psalm 85:6)

Chester Street: Once Saved, always saved

I've have been very lax of late with regards to blogging. For that I apologize. Thank God that others have not stopped. I was cruising the Blog Roll and saw that good ole Mark at Chester Street is still spreading the Truth and This particular Truth bears repeating.

Chester Street: Once Saved, always saved
After a very long and tiered conversation with someone who thinks they can lose their salvation, I will post this list [shamelessly stolen from Melvin's Essays] Link is Here.

Here is what must happen every time you sin and LOSE your salvation.

1. I have to lose my eternal life – which, or course, isn’t eternal if I can lose it.
2. I have to cease to be the new creation and become an old creation again.
3. I have to cease to be a child of God – He has to disown me.
4. I have to again become a child of wrath.
5. I have to cease to be a child of Light and become a child of darkness again.
6. I have to be removed from the body of Christ – un-baptized as it were.
7. I have to come alive again, outside of Christ.
8. I have to get unburied and un-united in my burial with Christ.
9. I have to take myself out of Jesus’ hand.
10. I have to take myself out of the Father’s hand.
11. I have to be transferred back to the kingdom of darkness.
12. I have to be unsealed for the day of redemption.
13. I have to some how come alive again to the power of sin.

...and of course, after I have repented, God does it all over again! Yeh, ok...
Thanks Mark! Strange though, I run into people who swear they can lose their salvation when they sin but they haven't lost theirs yet. Hmmm. You gotta love those perfect human beings.

15 Year-Old Girl To Be Executed For Converting To Christianity; Asks Obama For Help

I found this at Atlas Shrugs via The Jawa Report.

Not surprising that it was Fox News that carried the story. No other media outlet dared mention it. Americans are blissfully ignorant of the plight of Christians in Muslim nations and China. Converts to Christianity are being murdered and most people in this country haven't a clue.

Interesting Quote

The truth is, however, that if you go to South America, you will find a huge number of conversions to Protestant Christianity. If you go to Korea, you will find Christian churches with 100,000 members. If you go to China, you will find 100 million Christians. And if you go to Africa, you'll find that countries whose populations were only five percent Christian 100 years ago are now 50 percent Christian. These trends have not gone unnoticed by historians, who are startled by them and have attempted to explain them away, and they are the empirical basis for my claim that God is doing very well in this world. What's important to understand is that the New Atheism is not a triumphant cry of success, but rather a bitter reaction to the success of religion. -Dinesh D'Souza

Testimony

When I imagined myself as the first black man to run for President, I always considered my Christian testimony and the part my pastor would play in it. I could not think of kicking him to the curb or ignoring my association with him. As a fundamental Baptist preacher he is prone to say controversial things from the pulpit. Controversial to the ears of the world but not to God. The world might think it hateful when he preaches on sanctification and separation especially when he says to remain separate from worldly influences. My pastor always preaches the Word. If he talks about political issues, it is from a spiritual point of view and based on scripture, not personal opinion. My political views are shaped by my faith and my faith is shaped by the preaching and teaching of God’s Word and God’s Word is presented by my preacher. It was his ministry that led me to Christ and it was under his ministry that I grew as a Christian. So I cannot conceive of any time or situation where I would distance myself from him or his teachings and comments.

Well I probably won’t ever run for President but Obama is trying hard to. So I wonder about what his testimony is. He obviously embraced his pastor and his teachings at one point. But now he is putting as much distance as he can between himself and Reverend Wright. Why? Does he or doesn’t he believe the man? Is Wright Obama’s spiritual leader or isn’t he? If not then who? Shouldn’t we get to know who is the spiritual guidance of one of America’s potential Presidents?

But if Wright is Obama’s guru then aren’t we within our right to question comments the man has made publicly? Shouldn’t we be aware of what was taught by Wright and received by Obama? Isn’t this part of Barack Obama’s testimony?

Wright is in the news again, making comments against Fox News personalities. He was at a funeral of all places. I think he likes the spotlight and plans to take full advantage of his fifteen minutes. Where does that leave the Obama campaign?

Has your pastor (or other spiritual leader) said controversial things behind the pulpit? If you were running for public office, would you promote your pastor, or distance yourself?

Global Warming

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Well we've been cleaning up the mess from the worse snowstorm some say we've had in 25 years. I was stranded at home from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning when I went to church. Yes I went to church. The roads were a mess and still hadn't been cleared and I went to church. Of course the Lord has blessed me with an all wheel drive vehicle but the church van which I operated and picked up kids in was old school rear wheel drive. I did get stuck once but I manage to get free.

Now I make a big deal about this because of one thing. There are so called Christians out there who attend churches who decided to close because of the weather. How do you justify closing church? What happened to "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me"? Dozens of churches in N E Ohio were closed. I guess some only serve Christ when it's convenient. Can you image what would happen if Christians in this country were persecuted for their beliefs like Christians in Islamic nations? I doubt if they would make a stand. They can't even get to church on a snowy day.

UK Couple Lose Foster Child for Not Teaching Gay Is OK

I found out about this over at Stop the ACLU. It seems that a Christian couple will no longer be able to care for foster children.Foster child to be taken away because Christian couple refuse to teach him about homosexuality:
They are devoted foster parents with an unblemished record of caring for almost 30 vulnerable children. But Vincent and Pauline Matherick will this week have their latest foster son taken away because they have refused to sign new sexual equality regulations.
The authorities took an 11-year-old boy from the couple and removed them from the list of available foster parents. What did they object to?
Earlier this year, Somerset County Council's social services department asked them to sign a contract to implement Labour's new Sexual Orientation Regulations, part of the Equality Act 2006, which make discrimination on the grounds of sexuality illegal.

Officials told the couple that under the regulations they would be required to discuss same-sex relationships with children as young as 11 and tell them that gay partnerships were just as acceptable as heterosexual marriages
The couple are devout Christians who belive as I do that homosexuality is a sin and contrary to the Word of God. The couple prior to this had cared for 28 foster children and were exemplary parents. But because they won't go along with the liberal agenda they have been denied access to foster children. They can't even keep their foster son until they find a permanent home. Officials will remove the child tomorrow and put him in a temporary shelter. There is a severe shortage of foster parents and now those with any kind of religious beliefs are being driven from the program with these types of regulations. The couple will fight this with the help of Christian lawyers.

We are losing the fight Christians! The Gay agenda in the UK is marching boldly on and grinding Christians under it's boots. How did it get to the point where the state requires you teach kids at a young age that gay and lesbian lifestlyes are normal? This couple's objection on religious grounds was brushed aside by the powers that be. We are headed down that same path here in America. You had better speak up now Christian while you still have the right to do so.

Another Christian Murdered by Muslims

Another moment brought to you by the Religion of Peace. Christian activist killed in Gaza
GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip - A prominent Palestinian Christian activist was found dead on a Gaza City street Sunday, sending a shudder of fear through a tiny Christian community feeling increasingly insecure since the Islamic Hamas seized control last summer

The body of Rami Khader Ayyad, the 32-year-old director of Gaza's only Christian bookstore, bore a visible gunshot wound to the head, and an official at Gaza's Shifa Hospital said he was also stabbed numerous times. Ayyad had been missing since Saturday afternoon.

Ayyad regularly received anonymous death threats from angry people who accused him of missionary work, a rarity among Gaza's Christians. His store, which is associated with a Christian group called the Palestinian Bible Society, was firebombed in April.

Ayyad left two young children and a pregnant wife.

Is there any doubt that there can be no peace with the religion of peace? Mr. Ayyad was one of 3200 Christians living among 1,400,000 Muslims. It was just a matter of time before someone acted out one of the death threats. Can there ever be peaceful co-existence with followers of a faith that is so intolerant and also feels it is an act of spirituality to murder an infidel?
