Because Everybody Is Entitled To My Opinion

"O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, . . . in wrath remember mercy" (Habakkuk 3:2).
"Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?" (Psalm 85:6)

Happy Blogoversary to Me

Wow it is hard to believe that I have been at this blogging thing for 3 years! This past year had a few gaps in it where the real world had overwhelmed me and I didn't blog. But all in all I stuck to it. I have friends who can't hold a job for as long as I have been blogging.

So thank yous are in order. First I want to thank The Lord for health and clarity of mind to be able to put two coherent thoughts together on a page.  Second I would like to thank the real world friends who read and support my blogging. The two of you know who you are.(Maybe 2008 should be the year YOU start a blog). I want to thank my fellow bloggers who stop in and leave words of encouragement. I want to thank my faithful readers. And I want to thank all the fine folks who stop in on Thursdays.

As far as changes go, I have pretty much implemented everything I wanted at the beginning of the year as far as template changes go.  I still plan to uupgrade to Blogger 2.0 version of the template as soon as learn how to write a web service and build a widget.  It may seem that I have cut back on the number of quizzes and memes that I participate in but in actuality I just post them on a different blog.

I do have a domain, danebramage.net which I may  move my blog to. Again it all depends on how much the real world demands my time.

Well I am kind of looking forward to the upcoming year. So if nothing major happens in real life I plan to keep blogging.

Too Tired

I had a big post idea that I was going to write tonight but my anti-virus kept giving me problems and I was literally online with tech support for almost two hours. My technician did not have mastery over the english language and when things got off script, he (she? Couldn't tell by the name) didn't improvise well. That soul draining experience has left me unable to finish my post. Hopefully my muse will return tomorrow after some rest.

On a different note. I apologize to my Thursday Thirteen friends. I dropped a ">" off a tag and it kept the comment line from being visible against the white background. Thanks to Karina for mentioning it and thanks to all who "felt it out" to leave a comment. You went above and beyond.

Terrible Two

It almost escaped my notice. But today is my second Blogaversary. Yea! Yea for me! I want to thank everyone who has stopped by and especially those of you who have left comments and feedback. Looking back over the last 12 months I think about the blogs that are no longer updated and some bloggers who are no longer with us. Then I think about all the new bloggers that have popped since then.

But what keeps me going is the blogs that are still here after another year. I like doing what I do (blog-wise) and see no reason to stop. It is fun really. I guess when it stops being fun is when I hang it up.

So what have I been up to in the last year. New features like Thursday Thirteen. Old features like Headlines. Experimental features like "All Searches Lead to Dane Bramage". There was the Blogs of Summer. Some things that fell by the wayside like Homespun Bloggers Symposium and Alliance of Free Blogs.

I started using more photos but not nearly enough. BTW you may not know this but I have two other blogs. One is a summary of all the Headlines. The other is a photo/writing blog. Don't visit them because they are not current.

So whats in the future for Dane Bramage? Who knows. But at the very least I will be here through the election. Pointing out moonbat behaviour is always fun. But lately there has been a surge in wingnut behavior too. We need to nip that in the bud.

The Faith still needs contended for so I will continue to do my part there. Hollywood needs to be made fun of and musical celebrities must be openly mocked. Surely there is no shortage of things for me to do in the coming twelve months so stick around. I will.

THANK YOU

It is Veterans Day. I would just like to say thank you to all the veterans out there. I am thankful every day for the freedoms I enjoy. I know those freedoms come at a price. A price I did not pay, but others did and some still are. Thank You.

My friend Dave is a veteran and he said he wished that there was a Hug a Veteran Day. So I gave him a hug. Please don't tell his wife.
